Team Jumbo-Visma tops Hammer Series’ opener
Team Jumbo-Visma started the Hammer Series in Stavanger (Norway) with a victory in the Hammer Climb, 84,5 km with start and finish in Stavanger on Friday, May 24th. The World Tour team equipped with Bianchi Oltre XR4 completed the race with 1065 points, ahead of Lotto Soudal (928,1) and Bora-Hansgrohe (868,6). Team Jumbo-Visma topped two of the ten sprints of the race, still managing to score points with multiple riders.
Mike Teunissen sealed the team victory in the final lap with a powerful final sprint, claiming the maximum double points. Pascal Eenkhoorn, Maarten Wynants, Amund Grøndahl Jansen and Jonas Vingegaard were also part of the team.
The Hammer Series will continue with the Hammer Sprint, with Dylan Groenewegen joining the team, on May 25th.
