Tempier to defend Internazionali d’Italia’s lead in the final round
Racing in the top positions and holding the GC lead will be Stephane Tempier’s goals in Internazionali d’Italia Series’ final round, to be held on Saturday, June 22nd in La Thuile (Italy). On a 4,1 km course with 180 mt. elevation per lap, between steep climbs and downhills, natural drops and the rock garden, the Team Bianchi Countervail Frenchman will defend the lead he secured by winning the first two rounds. Tempier actually tops the overall classification with 116 points, 11 more than Gerhard Kerschbaumer (105) and 30 more than Nicholas Pettinà (86). Tempier has already won Internazionali d’Italia Series twice in the Elite category, 2010 and 2016.
With its World Cup-style technical route, La Thuile’s event will stand as a good test in view of next international appointments also for Nadir Colledani and Chiara Teocchi. Second placed in San Marino’s round, fourth overall (81), Colledani will take in Men’s Open race to start at 3:00 pm CET. Earlier, at 12.30pm CET, Teocchi will ride her Methanol in the Women’s Open race.
