Van Aert takes first victory since comeback

Wout Van Aert won the Krawatencross in Lille, held on Saturday, February 8th, 2020, taking his first emotional victory after his comeback from the injury suffered during the last Tour de France. On the final cyclocross race of his season, the Team Jumbo-Visma rider overhauled Quinten Hermans in the final lap, riding his Zolder Pro to a solo victory. For the Belgian rider, it was his first morale-boosting win since his nasty crash in the Pau time trial of last Tour de France, nurturing the good feelings in view of the Spring cobbled classics.
