World Cup, Teocchi earns her first élite Top-20

Chiara Teocchi placed 19th in World Cup XCO round 2 in Nove Mesto na Morave (Czech Republic), on Sunday, May 26th. Started with the race number 76, Team Bianchi Countervail’s Italian delivered an excellent performance achieving her first Top-20 display in the Women’s Elite race, thanks to a smart ride and a steady comeback despite. a 4:47 gap from the winner Kate Courtney.

“I’m really happy, this is a great satisfaction I got after a hard spring time. I scored a good result on a course not perfectly fitting to my skills: I can be satisfied with this 19th place, considering I’m a rookie in Women Elite series and I started in sixth lane today”, Chiara commented.

Nadir Colledani and Stephane Tempier didn’t manage to fight for the top positions, closing 34th and 47th respectively. Colledani got to the finish 5 minutes and 59 seconds after the winner Mathieu Van der Poel, whilst Tempier summed a 7:07 gap.
